The COUNTERPOINT® product runs on UNIX based servers manufactured by IBM and Intel. The workstations operate under the Windows XX operating system in order that our applications can take full advantage of a graphical environemnt. This adherence to world standards was pioneered by ams more than fifteen years ago as it ensures the protection of both our customers and our own investment in software and training.

The Servers are all powered by the award winning PowerPC micro processor, originally developed as a joint venture by IBM, Motorola and Apple.

Series 1000
The Series 1000 is an entry level system designed to provide smaller jobbers with all of the functionality of larger systems without some of the costs. It is fully compatible with the larger Series 3 and 6000 systems and may be upgraded to either model at any time without disruption or conversion. These upgrades are marketed as Powerpac3 and Powerpac6 respectively. The system may be configured with any combination of up to sixteen devices and to reduce costs further can be ordered with the Lite version of the COUNTERPOINT® software suite.

Series 3000
The Mid Range system in our product line features a more powerful version of the processor found in the Series 1000. The overall performance increase is approximately three times that of it's smaller cousin and will support any combination of up to forty eight devices.

Series 6000
The most powerful mono processor in the product line this system supports twice the performance of the model 3000 and will support any combination of up to ninety six devices. The system may be further upgraded to the multi processor 6000/2 and 6000/4 units that support up to 192 devices and beyond. The importance of the availability of the multi processor models is to show that there is an upgrade path for all customers, irrespective of their current size or unexpected growth.
